In June 1990 at the residence of Pankaj Sheth in Brooklyn, New York, some Pushtimargiya Vaishnavs congregated together for a spiritual Satsang. The satsang was a sacred congregation as TrutiyaPithadhish Pujya Goswami 108 Shri Vrajeshkumar MaharajShri from Kankroli-Vadodara joined the programme. At the satsang, several devotees like Indubhai Sheth, Govindbhai Parekh, Pankaj Sheth, and I.R. Shah requested Maharajshri to permit building a temple for Shri Dwarkadhish Prabhu in New Jersey in Dwarakadhish temple.
Maharajshri warmly approved the idea saying, “Shri Dwarkadhish Prabhu will bless your efforts and I will help in any way I can.” He motivated them to serve both the temple and the community. After scouting for several months, they identified a 2.5-acre property in Sayreville-Parlin, New Jersey, which had two buildings that could be used for the temple and cultural activities.
